This tree was inspired by maple trees I knew growing up in Pennsylvania -- trees growing in parks, fields, meadows.  The tree has a wide spread, as there is little competition from nearby trees.  The tree was designed to be simply, quietly sheltering.  If you can imagine sitting underneath the tree, looking up at the intricate branches, I've achieved my design goal.
